You may have heard of the new government green grant to help fund energy saving improvements to your home.
Improvements such as adding loft or wall insulation, replacing older windows with modern better insulated ones, or replacing a gas or oil fired boiler with a heat pump.
Homeowners can claim up to five thousand pounds towards the cost of the work, providing the work is carried out by a builder/contractor registered with the green scheme.
The grant scheme opened for applications in mid September 2020 and is expected to close in March 2021.

Applicants to the scheme receive a visit from an advisor who will help them decide what energy saving improvements to their home are possible and they would like to make, and they are then put in contact with relevant contractors who can do the work.
